'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Plot: Ultron Replaces Thanos, Avengers Could Fight Thanos In Avengers 3, 4 After The Civil War
"Avengers 2" is one of the most awaited films of 2015. The second tralier of the film was released at the recent New York City Comic Con. Even though the film is seven months away from the release, the anticipation in regard to the storyline is high amongst fans.
The storyline of "Avengers 2" would see Avengers fighting the evil Ultron. This has led fans to wonder why Thanos is not featured in "Avengers 2." Thanos was the purple alien smirk shown in the credit scenes of "The Avengers." According to Cinema Blend, "Avengers" fans are still looking forward to a showdown between Thanos and the Avengers.
Cinema Blend further reports that Thanos may be seen in the third installment of "Avengers," which is reportedly set for 2018 release. His character has been shown for a brief moment in "Guardians of the Galaxy." The Web site also says that Marvel is planning for a Civil War plot, which may be shown in "Avengers 3" and "Captain America 3." Moreover, there is a rumour that "Avengers 3" would be split in two movies, so Thanos may appear as a full-fledged villain in "Avengers 3."
In the comic book, Thanos' role is to collect all the gemstones and build the Infinity Gauntlet. The gemstones give one immense unlimited power. If Thanos collects all the stones and destroyS the earth, all the Avengers would come together to protect the planet. this would require them to put their differences aside, which may rise due to the Civil War.
While all of these are just speculations and no storyline has been officially revealed yet for the future "Avengers" movie, it has been confirmed that Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr would be part of "Captain America 3," according to Inquisitr.
"Avengers 2" cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr As Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and more. The film is slated for release on May 1, 2015.
