‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Tony Stark And Others Try To Lift Mjolnir In New Trailer [Watch Video]
A new trailer of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" shows the superheroes enjoying at a party and some of them try to lift Thor's hammer - Mjolnir. Anyone succeeding in this attempt will gain the strength of the god of thunder and ruler of Asgard. [Spoiler Alert]
Readers may have seen a brief glimpse of the party where all the superheroes gather in the first trailer of "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Now, the new trailer shows what happened in the social gathering scene, before they were interrupted by the main villain.
The trailer begins with Thor placing his hammer on the table and Hawkeye commenting that the notion of someone gaining Thor's power by lifting the hammer is a trick. Thor tells him otherwise and Tony Stark gets up to test and see if he can lift the hammer.
Tony Stark promises to be a fair but firmly cruel ruler of Asgard before trying to lift the hammer. He is unable to move the hammer and later uses his Iron Man hand gloves and still fails. Both Tony and James Rhodes then try but again fail.
The smile on Thor's face quickly vanishes when he sees Steve Rogers shake the hammer. But he too in the end is unworthy of Mjolnir. Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner do not try to lift it. Tony Stark believes that the trick involves Thor's fingerprints, but Thor says that they are all just unworthy.
The main villain of "the Avengers: Age of Ultron" enters at this point saying that the superheroes really are unworthy. He calls all the superheroes puppets with stings. Are the superheroes being manipulated by someone without realizing it and Ultron pointing it out to them?
Ultron also seems to be trying to free himself of strings. Towards the end of the trailer he says "Now, I am free" and "There are no strings on me."He is flanked by Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in one of the scenes, both new additions to the franchise.
The two notable things in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" are Bruce Banner trying to get control over Hulk and a broken shield of Captain America. Fans of the franchise are excited to see the battle between Hulk and Tony Stark, in his Hulkbuster suit.
