‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ – Why Tony Stark Created The Villain
Movie buffs already known that the main villain in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" is a creation of Tony Stark. But the actor, Robert Downey Jr. has now dropped some hints behind the reason for his creation, which also has an effect on another character in the movie. [Spoiler Alert]
The story of Tony Stark in the upcoming movie will pick up after the events of the "Iron Man 3" movie. Robert Downey Jr. was speaking to Collider about his role in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," when he said that the character will be busy making more suits when he realises that he should find a way to prevent problems from emerging and his solution may unleash a big villain in the movie.
According to Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark is trying to come up with a solution that stems from his need to change the system and challenge the authority. The character is known to be at odds with the government and government agencies in the previous movies.
Tony Stark has had a difficult relationship with Senator Stern, played by Garry Shandling in the "Iron Man" movies. He is also suspicious of Nick Fury, the director of the spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Tony Stark's solution however turns into the self aware villain Ultron.
Tony's creation in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" also has an impact on a new, but familiar, character in the movie. The character -- Vision will have ties to the creation of the villain in the movie, according to Robert Downey Jr. The Vision is the physical manifestation of a computer program called Jarvis. Readers who have seen the "Iron Man" movies may be familiar with Jarvis.
With so many superhero movies announced to be released in the coming years, Robert Downey Jr. reportedly said that "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will not be following a regular formula in terms of the plot. The ending of the movie is said to have given the actor "chills." Will there be a twist ending in the upcoming movie?
The first movie from the franchise introduced the super villain Thanos in the end credit clip. Thanos may not be featuring in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" in a big way but the movie ending may setup the plot for the 2018 movie, in which the earth's superheroes will take on Thanos and his infinity gauntlet.
