The latest trailer of “Avengers: Infinity War” was recently released, showing that there will be a crossover between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Producer Kevin Feige shared some details about the upcoming Marvel movie.

Production for “Avengers: Infinity War” started late in January 2017 and some behind-the-scenes footage was also released, showing the cast in good spirits. Robert Downey Jr (Tony Stark), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) were shown mingling on the set. Considering the massive roster, fans have huge expectations for “Avengers: Infinity War.”

The new “Avengers: Infinity War” clip began with a message about the Infinity Stones, Polygon noted. The stones debuted in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” These are related to the Tesseract, which are very powerful items in the universe. The six stones or Infinity Gems have special powers that have been changed and enhanced by different alien civilisations throughout history.

Kevin Feige was also shown in the “Avengers: Infinity War” video, saying that the upcoming film is the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe that began in May 2008 with the first “Iron Man” film. “Avengers: Infinity War” is reportedly an unprecedented culmination of a series of films interlinked together. Feige also discussed Thanos, who will be one of the main baddies in the new film. The character was previously shown in cameo roles, hinting that he will later be a force to be reckoned with.

Feige explained that they did “Civil War” to show that Thanos will be the most frightening villain that the Avengers have ever encountered. The team of superheroes will be completely unprepared to face the intergalactic being, compared to other main enemies that they faced before.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo were also included in the “Avengers: Infinity War” trailer, sharing that the large roster of Marvel characters are important to the storyline, notes Techno Buffalo. Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely also talked about how the Avengers are battling with their own issues, which will further complicate the grand battle with Thanos. As the team tries to deal with the new threat, they will meet the Guardians of the Galaxy. Feige said that “Avengers: Infinity War” will be composed of two parts, where fans will see the widest roster of Marvel characters, developed by films launched in the past decade.

The Infinity Gauntlet was shown in the last part of the trailer, being worn by a mysterious character. “Avengers: Infinity War” is expected to premiere in theatres on May 4, 2018.
