‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Josh Brolin Reveals Thanos' Fate, Says Titan Will Be Fighting 'Against Everyone'
Josh Brolin's Thanos character has been steadily getting more screen time since the last few Marvel superhero movies. These series of appearances is leading to bigger role in the highly anticipated "Avengers: Infinity War" films scheduled to release on May 04, 2018 and May 03, 2019.
In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Josh Brolin provided some details about his role as Thanos. The actor said that he loves "the idea of Thanos" and added that "...ultimately, it's Thanos against everyone. Why wouldn't you do that?"
Brolin has given credit to his good friend Louis D'Esposito, who is Marvel Studios' co-president, for making him take up the role of a villain. The actor said that he used to train with him and they worked together in "Hollow Man". Meanwhile, the site is speculating that the Marvel villain would most likely make another appearance in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" movie, then finally take on everyone in the "Avengers: Infinity War" movies.
Cinema Blend reports that the method of capturing the actor's facial features through performance capture technology made him nervous. Describing the process, Brolin said that he was made to sit in front of thirty two cameras, then had his face covered with iridescent paint. The site describes the procedure as something that belongs to a science-fiction movie, which is likely to intimidate anyone who is trying it for the first time. But, they are confident that a veteran actor like Brolin would easily adjust and finish the challenging task.
Brolin is playing one of the most intimidating and powerful character in the Marvel Universe. Thanos a.k.a. the Mad Titan eventually gains powers that liken him to a god. He continues to exert a great amount of influence across the galaxy.
The character of Thanos made his first appearance in the post ending credits scene of the "Avengers". His second appearance was in "Guardians of the Galaxy" where he was shown sitting on a throne and talking to Ronan The Accuser. His next major appearance is set to be in the "Avengers: Infinity War" films.
