'Avengers' Stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo And Robert Downey Jr. Talk About Being Superhero Dads To Their Kids
Actors Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) talked about the other thing that they have in common aside from starring in the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” film. The “Avengers” cast members shared in an interview their interesting stories of being superhero dads to their kids.
In an Entertainment Tonight interview, Robert Downey Jr. shared that Chris Hemsworth’s superpower is parenting. The 31-year-old “Thor” actor gives all the credit of raising his 2-year-old daughter and twin sons to his actress wife, Elsa Pataky, but Robert Downey Jr. thinks that the secret behind the couple’s parenting skills is their age.
“I'm telling you his superpower is parenting," Downey says of his co-star. "I have never seen anything like it. Elsa's the greatest, but just seeing them come out to a brunch with a twin strapped on each of them, I just look and I think like ‘Alright, they're young. That's how they can do that’,” the “Iron Man” actor, who welcomed his baby daughter in November 2014, shared.
When asked if their kids know that they are superheroes, Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth shared that India Rose, his 2-year-old daughter, says “papa” when she sees Thor in a magazine or an action figure. Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo revealed that he is currently dealing with his son’s fixation on the colour green.
“My son’s hair is dyed green right now. His clothes are green, his nickname is green. I’d like to think it was because of me,” Ruffalo explained. When asked if the “Avengers” cast hang out together off the set, “Captain America” actor Chris Evans explained that some of his co-stars has a family now so they have responsibilities when they get home after working all day on the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” set.
Chris Evan shared that he is just “sniffing out trouble” on his own during his free time because he is still single. “My wife won’t let me go with him,” Ruffalo revealed. Click HERE to watch the video interview.
