Axl Rose has arrived today in Australia for the Guns N' Roses concert tonight at Reid Park, Townsville in Queensland. Upon arriving, the rock star promised his Australian fans to give a good show.

Guns N' Roses will be traveling by private jet to Queensland for the opening concert on their four-date tour in Australia. They will return to Sydney tomorrow for the the Sydney Telstra 500 championships on Saturday (December 4) at the Sydney Olympic Park.

The band will also have a concert on December 7 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and on Perth Motorplex on December 11.

Promoter Andrew McManus has previously expressed excitement over the planned tour, saying: "I saw Guns N' Roses perform in Helsinki a few months ago and I've never seen a bigger crowd. It was a wild concert with over 60,000 fans going freakin' berserk!"

Guns N' Roses has sold 90 million albums with the hits Sweet Child o' Mine, Paradise City and Welcome to the Jungle in the 1980s. Sweet Child o' Mine reached No. 1 in the Hot 100 Billboard in the US.

The band's frontman Rose is one of rock'n'roll's most enigmatic and most iconic figures over the last two decades. Guns N' Roses current line up includes lead vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and DJ Ashba, rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer. Rock band 90s fusion metallers Korn will be supporting the band.

Recently, Axl Rose was in the news after suing Activision, which produces the popular Guitar Hero and Rock Band series for allegedly violating an agreement covering the use of the Guns N' Roses song, "Welcome to the Jungle."
