A Baby Box for the Royal Baby
A baby box is given to all pregnant women in Finland. This baby box has everything a mother needs not only to take of the baby but also to take care of herself. The baby box is the reason that Finland has the lowest infant mortality rates in the world.
Many people wanted to buy one from the Finnish government. The duke and duchess were not among the people who contacted the Finnish government. However, since they will be able to use it in the near future,the Finnish government decided to send one to them.
The Finnish government said that it is their way of congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that the royal parents-to-be has received the box. The royal couple are happy to receive such a unique and kind gift. The royal couple is very interested with the contents of the baby box.
The Kensington Palace does not accept gifts from commercial organisations. However, they are very willing to receive gifts from individuals and governments.
Here are the contents of the box: box itself, clothes including snowsuit and leggings, hooded bath towel, nail scissors, toothbrush, hairbrush, nappy cream, cloth nappy set, wash cloth, muslin squares, teething toy, picture book, bra pads and condoms.
The box can also be used as a bed because it has a fitted mattress. Most Finnish babies’ first bed is the box. So, will the royal baby also sleep in the box? Well, we will just have to wait and see.
