Baby Harper Calls Dad David Beckham ‘Chubby’
The former Manchester United footballer David Beckham, who retired from his career in 2013, told in an interview with Jimmy Kemmel on his show last Wednesday that his youngest daughter, Harper, 3 calls him "chubby."
Beckham said that after playing soccer all his life, he has now turned his attention towards his family, and has become a full-time chauffeur for his and Victoria Beckham’s four children, according to Elle. The soccer star, 39, who raised many eyebrows for his recent H&M campaign, told Kimmel that of late he has become a taxi driver, chauffeuring his kids to and from school and the boys to and from soccer training as well.
Comparing himself to an Uber driver and explaining his schedule, he added that from seven in the morning, he is on his toes, dropping the four kids to four different schools and his day gets over at 9:30, every night. But the interesting part is that the former England captain does all this in an hour and fifteen minutes flat.
Speaking about Harper, in his whacky sense of humour on ‘Jimmy Kemmel Live’, Beckham said, “I’d just bathed her and I was in the bath as well, so I got her out and you know, I was towelling her down and she said, "Daddy, I love you so much but I don’t like you, you’re so chubby"”
Meanwhile, Kemmel suggested that maybe the little girl does not know what the word ‘chubby’ means. Beckham chatted that after retirement he has gained weight apart from doubling up as a taxi driver for his wife and kids. He spends his days shuttling his kids to school and soccer practice, but revealed that they are not excited to be chauffeured by their soccer star father. His son, Brooklyn, who plays for Arsenal U16, avoids being spotted with his dad. David said that whenever he takes the latter to school he ensures that the car is parked around the corner. He told that his son gets out of the car and walks down to school so that none of his friends spot him with his dad.
