'Baby I' Singer Ariana Grande Suffers Vocal Cord Hemorrhage [PHOTOS]
Ariana Grande's album, "Yours Truly" has sold a whopping 135 thousand on its first week. Despite the success of her album, Ariana isn't one to celebrate. The "Baby I" singer is set to take a few weeks' rest following the news that she has damaged her vocal chords.
The Mariah Carey prodigy might have to take it easy for a few weeks. According to reports, the "Sam & Cat" star is suffering from a vocal cord hemorrhage. Grande has cancelled a few shows including her LA show last Monday night.
"Ariana had a show in LA on Monday night, then on Tuesday she woke up and felt unwell," stated the source to Page Six, adding, "She tried to sing with her vocal coach, who recommended she see a doctor. She has a vocal cord haemorrhage. She is devastated at this news, but she knows she will have to rest."
As for Grande, the singer is taking her first off in weeks following the work from "Sam & Cat" and promotion for her album "Yours Truly."
"First day off in forever... Vocal rest and watching movies in with my best friend @alexaluria dunno what I'd do without her," tweeted Ariana, adding, "Thank you guys for the well wishes, I'll be better in no time... just need some rest."
While Grande's taking the much needed rest, "Yours Truly" is rising up the charts. In fact, Grande's album managed to peak to number 1 at the Billboard 200.
"My 1st album has debuted at #1 & I can't even begin to express my gratitude. Thank you for supporting my music, this really means the world," tweeted Ariana.
