Babysitter Molests Infants, Gets $2M Bond for Bail [COURT VIDEO]
Who would have thought that a lady with an angelic face like Heather Koon would do the unthinkable? If the charges against her have basis, parents should think twice before trusting anyone for baby-sitting their infants. Koon allegedly raped a couple of infants and recording this ballistic act on video. The court issued an interesting verdict with the judge setting a $2 million bond for her bail.
Police found the video on Koon's laptop, featuring her alleged sexual engagement with an infant. Reports revealed that this was not the first time that Koon did this act. The video was found in James Osbourne's apartment. Osbourne, also a reported sex offender, is Koon's boyfriend. Both Koon and Osbourne were arrested and held at Lorain County Jail on Oct. 4.
Koon was asked to pay $1 million each for two counts of rape charges, disallowing her to be set free unless proven innocent. Her chances of being proven innocent were quite unlikely, according to the prosecutor, as there was a "strong evidence" against her after confiscating the videos and showing she was raping infants aged 1 and 2 at ABC KIDZ daycare in Elyria.
Such revelation has caused panic among parents and felt apprehensive that their babies may also have been victimized by Koon. Atty. Carlos Johnson of ABC Kidz said no other helpless babies have been victimized except for the two reported infants.
The ABC Kidz authorities were accused of behaving insensitively about the matter. The anonymous father of one of the victims told WOIO that ABC Kidz representatives had acted as if it was a minor assault. He claimed he was told to keep the incident discreet.
Koon, 25, appeared in court Monday. If proven guilty, she may face 11 years in prison and/or charged $20,000 fine.
Previously, a day-care Pittsburgh staff was sentenced a minimum of 35 years of imprisonment when proven guilty for sexually assaulting a dozen of young boys in 2012.
