'The Bachelor Australia' 2016 latest news: Alex Nation describes her entire ‘Bachelor’ experience in an unconventional way
One month after capturing “The Bachelor” Australia 2016 star Richie Strahan’s heart, Alex Nation has summed up her entire experience with the use of a common household item: a candle.
The 25-year-old mum took to Instagram to share what would perfectly describe her journey in the hit reality show. “When a candle has your bachelor edit written all over it… literally,” she wrote. The photo she shared was of a white candle with the words, “Cute, but psycho, but cute.”
Her post, which has since earned more than 7,000 likes, was also bombarded with hundreds of comments from her followers. “I love so much that you’ve been able to laugh at all the silliness around it – seeing what you seem to be like since the show finished has made me realise (even more) how fabricated and edited it all is and I wish they’d shown more of your funny, silly side,” Instagram user lovetheone wrote.
Another, who goes by the name benitosmteliza, posted, “There is something just so attractive about a person who can laugh about themselves and see the positive in all situations. You rock and we love you.” Instagram user kazzano01, on the other hand, looked at it in a different way. “All I saw was a [woman] falling in love. I didn’t see a psycho that’s for sure,” the comment read.
Speaking of falling in love, Richie seems to be head over heels with Alex, based on his latest Instagram posts. In one photo, he and Alex are seen staring at each other eyes and smiling. “Eye contact: How souls catch on fire,” he wrote, adding emojis of a loved-up face and fire.
In another post, he took a selfie of them together with a fireplace on the background. Richie captioned the image, “Spoiling her… fire, wine and of course the best company.”
Despite the continuous controversies thrown in their way, the two appear to be having the time of their life. Earlier this month, Richie and Alex were spotted having a friendly group date with former contestant Keira Maguire, as well as contestants from the previous seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”

In the shocking and dramatic finale of “The Bachelor’ Australia 2016 last month, Richie chose single mum Alex over fan favourite Nikki Gogan. While his unpopular decision earned the ire of the reality show’s fans, it’s apparent that he’s not regretting his choice. Richie took to Instagram to express his thoughts about his lady love. “I found her, my love, my co-pilot, my partner in crime, my everything,” he wrote. “I followed my heart and I've never been this happy. Alex to me you're perfect, you're everything I could of ever wished for. You make me the happiest guy in the world, I love you.”
