‘The Bachelor Australia’ Season 2: Jessica Talks After Her Shocking Elimination
The last episode of "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2 ended on a shocking note. Blake sent one of the favourites home. Jessica journey on the reality show ended because she did not believe in rushing love. She wanted to date Blake in the real world for a while before moving in together and after that get married. Blake, however, saw it as a sign that Jessica was not ready for love.
In an interview with Popsugar, Jessica explains what Blake meant when he said that Jessica is not ready for love that he is looking for. "What he was referring to was more than just love and a relationship. It was the next step. What happens after . . . The type of all-encompassing future he is looking for, for example, living together straight away, jumping right in the deep end of a life together."
Jessica says that she is a cautious person and believes in "moving a little slower when starting a relationship." She is someone who believes in the process of knowing each other and being ready before taking the relationship to the next big level. "When Blake was saying he didn't think I was ready, that was more or less his thought process wondering whether it was caution or hesitation," Jessica said to Popsugar.
Jessica and Blake had incredible chemistry. Jessica gave the impression that she was falling in love with Blake. And on the group dates, she made efforts to get close to Blake. During one of the group dates, she and Blake kissed, which made the rest of the girls furious. A majority of the girls thought that Blake has already made up his mind and that he has fallen in love with Jessica.
In her interview with Popsugar, Jessica says that she is someone who believes "to be fast to fall in love, can often [lead to being] fast to fall out of love." She calls falling in love a process and for each person, the rate and speed would be different. She admits that she had a good chemistry and a good connection with Blake and that Blake understood her, but according to her, there is more to a relationship. "Blake and I have a great foundation but there was certainly more to build," Jessica says to Popsugar.
Jessica also reveals that she has not dated anyone since she left the show, as she likes to take a little bit of time between relationships.
Blake has said that he has found love on the show. And in the preview of this week's episodes, he can be seen on his knee, holding a ring box, and proposing marriage to someone. He can be seen saying, "Will you marry me." He and the three remaining bachelorettes Sam, Louise and Lisa are heading to Cape Town, South Africa for the season finale.
In her interview with Popsugar, Jessica says that it would be wonderful to see Sam and Blake together at the end.
