On Thursday night, Sam Frost and Blake Garvey got engaged in the season finale of "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2. Now in less than 24 hours, Network Ten has released a statement confirming the rumours that Blake and Sam have broken up. The statement indicates that it is Blake who ended the engagement as he felt that he and Sam were not on the same page when it came to what they wanted from a relationship. Also, their priorities were different.

According to the statement, posted on the Twitter page of "The Bachelor Australia," "Network Ten can confirm that Blake and Sam have sadly ended their engagement. When Blake proposed to Sam in South Africa, he did so because he had genuinely fallen in love with her. He was excited to start a life with Sam and was very much looking forward to their future together."

"Unfortunately, not all relationships are meant to be, and feelings invariably change. Once Blake returned to his everyday life, he realised that they both wanted different things from a relationship and had different priorities. Blake has the greatest love and respect for Sam, but has made the difficult decision to end the relationship."

On Thursday night, it was a perfect ending to "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2, with Sam accepting Blake's marriage proposal. Blake got down on his knee, opened the ring box and asked the question, "Samantha Frost, will you marry me." Sam said "100 per cent."

During the proposal scene, Blake told Sam that he has never been so sure about anything, ever and that he has no doubts in his mind that Sam is the one for him. Before his marriage proposal, Blake confessed to Sam that he has felt a lot of love but he has been in love with only one person and that is Sam. He said, "I love you, Sam" and that he loved everything about her, including her life and who she is. He also told that he would always want her by his side.

Blake said goodbye to Lisa after telling her that he can depend and rely on her, and that she has been such a constant for him. He told her, "I've so much love for you but I'm in love with someone else."
