‘The Bachelor’ Season 20 recap: Ben Higgins picks Lauren B; JoJo is next ‘The Bachelorette’ [VIDEOS]
Ben Higgins has officially bid goodbye to singlehood, after he proposed to Lauren Bushnell – twice – during “The Bachelor” two-hour finale on Monday night.
In a clip shared by “The Bachelor,” Ben is seen getting down on his knee, and tearfully asking Lauren B to marry him. The blonde beauty gushes, “Yes, of course.” The 27-year-old software salesman from Colorado also gave the highly coveted final rose to the 25-year-old flight attendant from California, who bested 27 other girls to win Ben’s heart. Other clips showed how the two couldn’t get their hands off each other, with Ben carrying her bride-to-be to the helicopter.

Prior to the happy moment, however, Ben had a heartbreaking moment with JoJo Fletcher. Ben told the 24-year-old real estate developer that while he found love with her, he found it with somebody else more. JoJo was clearly devastated, and she was left speechless for a moment. She tearfully walks away, reprimanding Ben for telling her before that he loved her.

Inside the limousine, JoJo was still crying her heart out, claiming that she felt blindsided. “I wish I could hate him or be mad at him, but I can’t,” she said. “I was getting my heart broken but I still didn’t want to see him cry.”

JoJo do not need to mourn much longer, as she was announced to be the next season’s “The Bachelorette.” After revealing her name, the whole crowd cheered on, including Ben who was sitting beside her.

Fans of “The Bachelor” had mixed reactions over Ben’s choice. Some took to Twitter to express their approval, while the others expressed their disappointment that Ben picked Lauren B over JoJo.
Despite the varied reactions of the show’s avid followers, Ben and Lauren B are moving on with their life. In the interview after the finale, titled “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose,” Lauren B announced that she’s moving to Denver really soon. During that special, Ben proposed again to her in front of their family and friends.
