'Bachelorette Australia' updates: Former Bachelorette Sam Frost says cyberbullies have 'broken' her; says the trolls won
'The Bachelorette Australia' season 2 airs on Channel Ten soon.
“The Bachelorette Australia” former star Sam Frost had her battle with cyberbullies and now it appears that they have won. Frost said that as of present, she is "broken" -- all thanks to them.
Sam Frost has a message to all the cyberbullies and fake accounts who are heavily trolling her online and her personal life. She says that if they wanted to break her, congratulations, they have won. Frost also used the hashtag “#broken” at the end of her tweet.
After tweeting her feelings away, her post was met by a lot of mixed reactions from fans and online users. Most of the responses to her post were messages of support coming from other public figures, such as another reality TV contestant Tully Smyth who is a former Big Brother housemate. Smyth told Frost that she is strong, beautiful and smart. She also said that Frost must not let faceless cowards get into her head and that she should switch off for the night.
Another message of support came from Mel Greig, fellow radio personality. Greig said that Frost should not let them win. She added that normal people do not bring other people down. Greig also told her that she should stay strong for herself and for the young girls who need her as well, the Daily Telegraph notes.
A lot of people have been urging Frost to publicly label and name her bullies to put them into shame. This move was inspired by Leigh Sales, an ABC journalist, who publicly shared the harassment and bullying she has been experiencing during election period.
This tweet was not the first time that the former Bachelorette addressed what was happening to her. In March she made an open letter, which she read aloud in her radio show.
In the letter, she noted that she was bullied on a daily basis. Frost said that the empty words these bullies type down have an eternal effect on the person they are sending it to. She asked the bullies to stop and think for a while and urged people to think twice before writing anything.
Sam Frost reached popularity when she was featured during the second season of “The Bachelor Australia.” Sam won the show but broke things off with the Bachelor Blake Garvey after it ended.
She got more attention when she was given a spin off and was made to be the very first “The Bachelorette Australia,” where she was put on the spotlight for her public quest for love, in 2015. At present, Sam Frost hosts a morning radio show on 2DAYFM along with Rove McManus, a former chat show host, Stuff.co writes.
The next star of “The Bachelorette Australia” is journalist Georgia Love. The show airs on Channel Ten Australia.
