'The Bachelorette' season 12 update: Jojo Fletcher sends Luke Pell home
The war veteran gets eliminated despite his confession at the rose ceremony

Texas-born war veteran Luke Pell, 31, was eliminated in the ninth episode of the US reality show, "The Bachelorette." However, it was later shown that Jojo was doubting her choice after he rode off in a limousine.
The cliffhanger in the previous episode was put to a close. The eighth episode ended with Jojo in tears and completely torn by indecision.
"I think I need to say goodbye to Luke," Jojo said in the rose ceremony. Luke then asked her if they could talk. The veteran bared all his feelings for Jojo, which led her to break down. "The Bachelorette" lead star told the final four that she has never fallen in love with men like them.
However, despite his effort to change Jojo's decision, the lead star remained convicted with her first choice and sent Luke home. According to Reality Steve, the revelation shocked viewers and Luke himself. The war veteran has been thinking that he and the 25-year-old reality star might "have been on the same page." After he left, Jojo could not help thinking that she was already missing him. The remaining three contestants are Chase McNary, Jordan Rodgers and Robby Hayes. The trio were taken to a trip to Thailand.
According to Heavy, Luke just might be the next star for the upcoming season of "The Bachelor." TV Guide ran a poll on who should be the next man in the dating show's counterpart. Luke won the first spot in the poll with a total of 38 percent. Fans on Twitter also agree that the 31-year-old Texas hunk should be the star of "The Bachelor." They also posted their sympathy for Luke and how regrettable Jojo's choice was.
