Bafta 2015: Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones Stun At Awards Ceremony
As the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden in London opened its doors for the 68th Bafta, celebrating the best of cinema, leading ladies arrived, wearing dazzling gowns and sporting radiant confidence. Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike, Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon and Felicity Jones attended the event, looking glamarous and stunning.
Rosamund Pike, 36, portrayal of the manipulative and psychotic Amy Dunne in “Gone Girl” has the world take notice of her talent as a powerful actress. She showed up at the award ceremony donning a Roland Mouret black halter gown. She has stunned everyone, with her shapely post pregnancy silhouette and she did it again in this gorgeous ensemble, as well. She wore shoes by Brian Atwood and enhanced her looks with Bulgari jewellery.
The “Big Eyes” star Amy Adams, 40, arrived at 2015 Bafta wearing a white gown that featured a bejewelled waist and a long tassel. As reported by the Daily Mail, the dress by Lanvin, the French fashion powerhouse, was teamed up with a golden Lanvin clutch and Cartier Jewellery. Adams, who portrayed Margaret Keane, the wife of American painter Walter Keane, was wearing shoes by Jimmy Choo. “Bog Eyes” tells the story of Keane’s fight to win due recognition for the paintings that her husband Walter Keane claimed the credit for.
Just like her Oscar luncheon look, the “Still Alice” actress Moore again chose red for the biggest night in the British film industry. Moore, 54, a winner at Bafta 2015, wore a revealing gown, designed by Tom Ford, for the evening. Her performance in the film about Alzheimer disease and its impact has also got her the Oscar nomination.
Jones, 31, was nominated for her performance in "Theory of Everything". The young British actress looked stunning in a black and cream Dior dress. The cream skirt part, enriched with floral embellishments, enhanced the elegance and glamour quotient of the simple dress.
Witherspoon was spotted wearing Stella McCartney on the red carpet. “…I’m so happy to wear Stella McCartney, she’s my girl. I’m always thrilled to wear her clothes, and she takes great care of her girls,” she said, as quoted by Daily Mail. She wore a purple gown, with a plunging neckline.
