After selling out their final concert tickets in a matter of minutes, Powderfinger scheduled two more Brisbane shows to their parting tour.

Powderfinger's tour publicist Rina Ferris said through brisbanetimes.com.au that in "60 seconds" the tickets for the November 13 show at Riverstage was sold out. Thus, they had to add two more shows for the venue.

"A show on Thursday, 12 November, at Riverstage sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale and so there is now a show on Wednesday, 10 November, on sale," Ms. Ferris said.

The band now has five scheduled farewell shows to be held at the Riverstage.

Ticket sellers are now benefiting from fans who were not able to purchase tickets for the November 13 show.

As of this morning, less than two hours after the tickets went on sale, eBay recorded listings of tickets that are for sale at $305, which is thrice as much as its original price.

Tickets for the Sunsets tour, another series of shows to be done by the band, were also quickly sold out after they went on sale earlier this month.

Other shows are also scheduled in Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Powderfinger will stage the finale of the tour in their hometown. It was originally set at Ballarat but was moved to a different location due to the pressure coming from the fans.

Currently, more than 175,000 tickets have already been sold. The figures are expected to increase today after the sales of the tickets for the additional tours.

The Sunsets tour will be the last show of Powderfinger. The band has been together for more than twenty years and has finally decided to go separate ways.

According to Ms. Ferris, the band members were "overwhelmed by the support" of their fans.
