The Philippine Basketbal Association (PBA) slapped Barangay Ginebra supertar Mark Cagioua with a P20,000 fine on Wednesday.

The announcement was made through their Twitter account (@pbaconnect).

Seemingly furious, the "spark" let his emotions get the better of him and turned to Twitter to air his sentiments concerning crucial calls made by the referees that lead to their loss against the Alaska Aces on Sunday.

The PBA has been very strict about using social media responsibly as this may not only prejudice the players or the teams but as well as the league itself.

Meralco player Don Allado witnessed the strictness of the imposition of penalties, when he revealed on Twitter the alleged game fixing in the league. He was suspended for one conference and fined P500,000 for committing such act.

Meanwhile, Ginebra is now sitting on the second to the last place with a 1-3 win-loss record and will be looking to improve their record to secure a playoff slot.

Ginebra's next game will be on Wednesday at 3:15 (AEST) against the Air 21 Express.
