The word "selfie" is changing. The definition of selfie according to Oxford Dictionaries is a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social website: occasional selfies are acceptable, but posting a new picture of yourself everyday is not necessary. But Barbara Walters seems on the go to change it.

For an 84-year-old influential broadcast journalist/talk show host like Barbara Walters, the revelation of using a vibrator and naming it selfie is entirely shocking, and maybe even personal -- for the viewers.

Since selfie became popular and burning in 2011, it doesn't lose fuel. It continues to burn. People from all over the world continue to take selfies. Even U.S. President Barack Obama joined Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt for a selfie during Nelson Mandela's memorial, creating an international incident as reported on Fox News.

The said selfie was deemed inappropriate for a funeral service. But on Feb. 17, 2014, selfie became a shocking revelation.

As reported on usatoday.com Barbara Walters confessed to her cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd, and guest host Ross Matthews on the Feb. 17 episode of The View that her vibrator's name is selfie when the conversation turned to self love.

"Do you have more confidence and more self love?" Jenny McCarthy inquired, as mentioned in this ET Online report.

"Self-love?" Barbara Walters asked.

Sherri Shepherd would not let the subject go so she chimed in."You know, self love Barbara. Friday night self-love."

"You start talking about that vibrator of yours again, I can't handle it!" Whoopi Goldberg interrupted.

"You know what it's called? A selfie!" Barbara Walters said confidently, throwing up her hands with a smile. In seven words, Walters dropped the bomb.

"The name of Barbara's vibrator is selfie," Goldberg concluded, giving the subject even more emphasis. "Fantastic."

Emotional and going over the top, Barbara Walters seemed to become a fascinating talk show host in 2014. For many viewers, Walter seemed to be getting really personal about her sexual life.

Barbara Walters was seen unveiling the Top 10 Most Fascination People of 2013 in December 2013. Walters was even reported to be retiring in 2014. When exactly is that going to be is not known yet.

Walters' revelation gives selfie a new meaning, says some reports. Would it be synonymous to vibrator, or, maybe self love? What more can selfie mean?
