On Friday, San Francisco was saved by Batkid. A helpless woman was taken hostage and tied to tracks. Penguin, a noted name in the villain industry, created ruckus in the downtown area. Riddler tried to rob the bank. All eyes were on Batkid. People of San Francisco oops Gotham were saved by this little wonder named Batkid or Miles. The entire segment was staged as thousands of spectators, TV crews, SFPD and even President Obama got together with Make-A-Wish Foundation (San Francisco) to Miles' dream come true.

5-year-old Miles from Tulelake, California has been battling leukemia since he was 18 months old. He became fascinated with superheroes at a very early age. And when Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Francisco asked Miles what he wanted. He replied, "I wish to be Batkid," obtained via The Daily News.

Close to 12,000 volunteers gathered as Gotham residents and watched Batkid's efforts to save the city.

The social media campaign helped as people came and supported Batkid at every crime area. Miles or Batkid was the hero of the day. The President Barack Obama and First Lady tweeted from the White House. Obama also sent a Vine video.

Adventure of Batkid

It all began with a fine day in San Francisco. Suddenly, Police Chief Greg Suhr made an appearance on TV and asked if anyone is aware of Batkid's whereabouts. He needed Batkid's help to save San Francisco from two menacing villains - Penguin and Riddler.

Miles in the Batkid uniform joined adult Batman and his baby bro Robin. They got into two Lamborghinis (their Batmobiles).

He was greeted like a rock star.

Batkid's First Save

Batkid saved a woman who had been tied by the Riddler to cable.

Batkid's Second Mission

Soon, Batkid caught Riddler in the downtown bank. The Riddler was later arrested by San Francisco Police officers and was taken in a truck.

Batkid vs. Penguin

Batkid also caught Penguin. The mayor handed the keys of the city to him.

According to Mashable, 6,400 photos of Batkid were shared with close to 130,000 tweets.
