Ben Affleck in the new Batman movie was news that fans of the franchise condemned. But in this new news, Batman fans might rejoice that comic book fan and director Kevin Smith has seen the new Batsuit and he is happy.

"I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of him [Affleck] in the costume," Smith told in the latest episode of his podcast called Hollywood Babble-On.

Smith saw the photo of his buddy Ben Affleck in the Batsuit and he was delighted with the results. He was so happy that he "instantly bear hugged [the film's director Zack Snyder]."

Smith goes on to explain.

"You have not seen this costume on film before," he said. A Batsuit with no nipples is indeed something we have never seen before. "For a comic book fan, it was mind-bending... Because every other movie does this Matrix-y black armor thing...There wasn't a single nipple on this suit."

Smith has disclosed his support for the film and Ben Affleck as the new Batman.

Meanwhile, in September, Affleck told Jimmy Fallon that the studio had prepared him for the backlash once the news was out, via Us Magazine. "hey said, 'Just don't use the Internet for a couple of days.'" A curious Affleck, however, could not resist surfing the web for reaction: "I saw the announcement, I look down the thing. The first comment? 'Noooooooooo.'"

Affleck also told Fallon that he is excited to see how his three children with Jennifer Garner: 7-year-old Violet, 4-year-old Seraphina and 20-month-old Samuel will react once he appears in the new Batsuit. "Every kid should see their dad as a superhero, right? It's so awesome," Affleck told Fallon.

Coming back to the new Batsuit, Smith mentioned in his podcast that the new costume is its own thing. A fan who attended the podcast, stated that Smith also said that the suit is "very Jim Lee influenced."
