Ben Affleck was filming his new movie "Gone Girl" while getting fit for his role in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Apparently, switching from one character to another proves confusing at times as Ben Affleck reportedly turned into the Night Crusader in "Gone Girl."

The cast of "Gone Girl" attended a press screening following the debut of the movie at the 2014 New York Film Festival on Friday night, Sept. 26. According to Hitfix, Rosamund Pike, who plays Ben Affleck's missing wife, claimed the actor "transitioned" into Batman in one of the scenes.

The actress was talking about her weight in the film when she recalled her portrayal of two different characters in "Gone Girl." "I had to be heavier and thinner in all the different locations," she said.

Ben Affleck reportedly chimed in that he too "just went heavier" in the film. The actress claimed that Ben was becoming Batman before her eyes. Pike claimed she was with Batman when they had to do the shower scene in "Gone Girl."

Naturally, this brought out a few laughs from the press. However, Ben Affleck didn't actually suit up as the Night Crusader while in the shower. According to Hitfix, Rosamund Pike was probably talking about the actor's bulked-up muscle.

While filming for "Gone Girl," Affleck reportedly had to build some muscles for his character in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Evidence to how hard he's prepared for the DC movie was apparently revealed in his shower scene with Rosamund Pike. Fans could probably check out the movie just to see how Batman looks like behind the costume.

The actor, however, didn't reveal any details about his superhero character during the press meeting. But in an interview with Boston Globe, Ben Affleck claimed "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is "very exciting." Even he himself can't contain his excitement for the movie. "I can tell you that in my entire career, I haven't had so many people come up to me and say how much they're looking forward to the movie," he said.

Ben Affleck also showed his appreciation for the script, the director and even the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" studio. He revealed in the interview that he is also "very much looking forward to the movie."
