‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’: Ben Affleck Reveals Details About His Character; More Video Teases -- Batmobile In Action
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is more than a year away. However, stars are doing a great job by keeping their fans updated with details from the upcoming DC Comics flick. Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck opened up about playing the much-admired superhero Batman.
Affleck, 42, sat down with British publication The Sunday Times (via Dark Horizons) and talked about his latest and much-anticipated movie role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Speaking to the newspaper, the actor revealed that in real life he is not too different from his character in Zack Snyder's movie. The actor revealed that Batman is going to be filled with anger and rage, which will be key elements in Batman's storyline in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
"I think it's a necessity, historically, in the tradition of these films," Ben Affleck told The Sunday Times
"For me, anger is so deeply buried and contained that when it does kind of come out, it comes out in stronger bursts," the actor added.
Furthermore, the "Daredevil" star explained how he deals with a particular emotion. He explains that he has the tendency to let the feeling build up inside before it "finally emerges." He says that even though he can't control it, he doesn't "go into a Wolverine berserker rage."
He describes this as a "character flaw." He says that instead he wishes he could just say, "'Listen, I just want to let you know what happened there wasn't OK,' instead of going, let it go, let it go, let it go ... 'Ah, that's not a big deal', until, finally, you just pop!"
We Got This Covered notes that Bruce Wayne's "anger issues" have been known to fans. However, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will bring it to the big screen for the first time.
In other news, Batman's car Batmobile has been unveiled. Photos and videos of Ben Affleck's war machine, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and artillery, are swirling around.
