‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice': Jesse Eisenberg talks Lex Luthor, weighs in on 'phenomenal' film
Previews released for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” have already stirred excitement among fans of the DC comic book story, and Jesse Eisenberg remains positive that viewers will not be disappointed with the film. The actor recently revealed his serious opinion about the movie and also briefly talked about his villain character, Lex Luthor.
Eisenberg sat down for an interview with the American talk show Today on Friday, Sept. 4, to talk about his new book “Bream Gives Me Hiccups” and he also briefly shared his thoughts on “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” In the video below, Jesse describes his villain character Lex Luthor.
“It’s just like the most incredible character it was written by this guy, Chris Terrio. This is like his first movie after Argo. He's just this brilliant writer of characters,” he says.
He also talks about Zack Snyder’s film as not the “kind of cartoonish superhero movie.” He says the film is “very serious and well-acted, well-written” and a “well-directed movie.” Jesse adds that the DC comic book adaptation will be “really phenomenal.”
Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” expressed a similar opinion about his character during his panel interview in Toronto for Fan Expo Canada 2015.
In the video below, the actor is asked if his character will be the “chill” type unlike Batman and Superman who are the serious characters. Momoa declines to reveal specific details and only replies with a shrug and a knowing smile, then says, “I don’t know.” All throughout his interview, the actor remained careful with his answers as to not give away any movie spoilers.
According to Batman-News, the aquatic superhero hasn’t always been taken seriously over the years. However, the actor reportedly feels his portrayal of the character in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will change people’s opinions about Aquaman. In same panel interview, Momoa is asked to comment about all the Aquaman jokes over the years.
“You know, it’s cute and funny. I mean, people make fun of him and there’s a bunch of jokes about him. But I’m like ‘Well… just wait. Let’s just wait a little bit’. And then we can make jokes…,” he replies.
