'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice': LEGO trailer released; Action figure from Square Enix revealed
A big range of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” products are being released to cash in on the popularity of the forthcoming movie. A new LEGO trailer shows some of the toys by the company that are associated with the movie.
The trailer shows a storyline of how Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) has stolen kryptonite and it is up to the heroes Batman (Ben Affleck) Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to get it back. There is also a toy of the reporter Lois Lane (Amy Adams) who is busy taking pictures while hanging onto Lex’s helicopter.
Kryptonite is a green coloured fragment from Superman’s home world and in the comics it has been shown to be the only weakness of the superhero. Lex Luthor uses his green coloured helicopter to get away with the fragment in the trailer, while the superheroes are in pursuit.
The Batmobile and the Batwing LEGO toys featured in the trailer are similar in design to the vehicles the Caped Crusader uses in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The video shows how the Batwing can be assembled using the toy set and played with. The Batman LEGO toy fits into the vehicle.
Lex Luthor’s helicopter LEGO has plastic missiles that can be “fired” at the heroes. To counter the fire power of the helicopter, the Batwing has a six barrel stud-shooter that fires when a wheel at the back is turned. Superman saves a falling Lois in the trailer, while Lex crashes with the helicopter.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has released pictures of the Batman action figure from the official “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” line. The toy was previously seen at the Tokyo Game Show in 2015 and the official pictures have now been posted on ToyArk. The muscular action figure comes with swappable hands, a grapnel gun, a grappling hook, a batarang and a grenade.
