'Batman v Superman' Wonderwoman Gal Gadot 'Insulted' By Ronda Rousey, Fans React
Ronda Rousey reportedly insulted Gal Gadot for her role as Wonderwoman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The MMA superstar even questioned the actress' fighting skills which caused fans to react unhappily at her criticism.
Yahoo reports the UFC bantamweight champion revealed during an interview in the "Tommy Toe Hold Show" that the "Man of Steel" sequel would have been better if they've chosen her as Wonderwoman.
"They're making a Wonder Woman right now, aren't they?" she asked on the show.
"I should have been Wonder Woman, man!" she said.
However, Inquisitr adds Rousey took her answer a step further by openly insulting Gal Gadot, the actress cast to play as the superhero.
"That girl couldn't curl a two-pound weight, what's so wonderful about that? I don't understand," Ronda said on the show.

Yahoo reports that while Gadot has been working out for her role, she may be, in real life, no match to Ronda Rousey. Inquisitr adds the fighter definitely has what it takes to take on physically challenging roles, because she is what the site called the female version of boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. Also, Rousey is now considered an actress. She has since appeared in Hollywood action movies, namely "The Expendables 3" and the much-awaited "Fast and Furious 7."
Despite the insult, Gal Gadot has the support of another MMA fighter. batman-news reports Gina Carano admired her "Fast and the Furious 6" co-star for landing the role.
"I definitely know (Gadot) has been training and there's so much more that goes into being a strong female character," she said.
While Gadot may not be MMA fighter material like Ronda Rousey, the site claimed the actress has been bulking up for her Wonderwoman role. The skinny actress packed on body mass by going through an intense physical drill. She has been prepping up with a series of training involving Kung Fu, kickboxing, jujutsu and even sword fighting.
Ronda Rousey's remarks about Gal Gadot's capabilities to portray Wonderwoman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was somewhat cruel as suggested by Inquisitr. Fans are reportedly unhappy at her comment. But others also agreed with her opinion. Below are mixed reactions from fans posted on Twitter.
Does Ronda Rousey really think it's cute to talk crap about other women's bodies? I'm glad she isn't Wonder Woman. She doesn't deserve it.

Ronda Rousey said she should be Wonder Woman instead of Gal Gadot. While I have no idea how GG will pull off WW I do think RR is not... — Nick Enquist (@nick_enquist) August 11, 2014
Ronda Rousey can think she's a #WonderWoman all she wants but she's not going to be better than Gal Gadot. Gal can actually act.

This is kinda funny as I have watched Expendables 3 twice now and can confirm that Ronda Rousey is a worst actor... http://t.co/QJAIAkGMi7 — Tom Robertson (@TJMRobertson) August 10, 2014

While discussing Justice League movie and potential cast, my son said, "You know what would be cool? @RondaRousey as Wonder Woman." #attaboy — Shemp DeYoung (@ShempLabs) June 10, 2012

Not that I don't like Gal Gadot, but I personally feel Ronda Rousey would've been a better Wonder Woman.. — The Credible Hulk (@TuneOTSP) August 10, 2014
