'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice': Caped Crusader refuses to stay down in a fight; Doomsday powers revealed
A new trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” for the Japanese market shows a fight scene between the two main heroes. The video also shows the powers of the villain Doomsday.
The video posted on YouTube shows The Caped Crusader (Ben Affleck) going to “war” with the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill). Even though he is outmatched in terms of the physical powers, Batman continues to fight.
“Stay down…if I wanted it…you’d be dead already,” Superman tells his rival in one of the scenes. The trailer also shows the contempt Bruce Wayne feels towards the Man of Steel. In an interaction with Clark Kent, he refers to the superhero as an “alien” who has the power to “burn the whole place down.”
Bruce also takes exception to the way The Daily Planet newspaper covers the news. He points out that every time Superman “saves a cat out of a tree,” they write a “puff piece editorial” praising him.
The conversation between the two heroes takes place at a party arranged by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). “Bruce Wayne meets Clark Kent…I love it. I love bringing people together,” Lex says in the video.
While the two superheroes are busy fighting each other in “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” a new threat will emerge. Doomsday has the brute strength of the Man of Steel and also has the ability to shoot powerful laser beams from his eyes and mouth.
The video teases the powers of Doomsday. The two superheroes may have to join hands in order to take on this new threat, but even that may not be enough. The heroes will take the help of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in order to take on their common enemy.
The one major character who has not appeared in any of the trailers of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is Aquaman (Jason Momoa). This indicates that the character will only have a very minor role in the movie.
