Two eye candies are battling it out for public attention on New York City's Times Square. The war is between Naked Cowboy Robert Burck and Naked Cowgirl Sandy Kane.

Mr Burck, who is attired in a cowboy hat and white skivvies, owns the Naked Cowboy trademark and charges $5,000 yearly or $500 per month for other attention-seeking Americans who wants to earn by parading around the square in only their underwear and yodeling their way to the bank.

Mr Burck's wealth is estimated at $2 million. His failure to have the cowgirl character trademarked was seen as a loophole by Ms Kane, a former stripper, who had the character trademarked in July.

Ms Kane is asking the Naked Cowboy to stop deploying Naked Cowgirls whom she labeled as imposters and lacking in singing and dancing talent.

Mr Burck actually filed a lawsuit against Ms Kane for trademark violation, but he lost in court, grudgingly granting her authorisation to use the Naked Cowgirl trademark.

Ms Kane, whenever in Times Square, performs while wearing nothing except a white bikini bottom and a hat. Red-blooded males appreciate her large front bumpers, which are out in the open.

"I have these tremendous double D's, and I do great things with them. I go right, left, right, left, and do it kind of funny. People go, 'Oh, [bleep]," the New York Post quoted Ms Kane, who said she broke down the barriers for people to be naked.

Mr Burck dismisses the cease-and-desist letter from Ms Kane as having no value, clarifying, "I love Sandy. She's got balls of steel to fight, but you don't win because you have balls. You have to show legitimacy and that you have legal status."
