Battlefield 4 Facebook Sharing Already Up, Obliteration Mode in Beta, and Fan Thoughts for Ongoing Beta
Battlefield 4 is progressing at quite a pace, as DICE adds Obliteration mode into the multiplayer beta.
"New Obliteration mode is rolling out in the #BF4 Beta (PC/PS3/X360). Server availability will increase gradually," according to the official Battlefield Twitter.
For this mode, you have to deal with a bomb that spawns at random locations in the map. The goal is to make sure that your team gets the bomb, drop it off and activate it in the opponent's three objectives and destroy the objective.
Only one bomb spawns at a time, and the next one will only spawn once you have activated the current one. It is pretty much a chaotic experience wherein you need to scramble for the bomb to gain control of the game. There's a time element aside from the pressure of being the winning game.
The multiplayer beta for Battlefield 4 will be ongoing until October 15, as the release date for the official game is slated for November 1 for current-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PS3 and the PC. Next-gen versions for the PS4 and Xbox One will be available once the consoles launch.
Facebook Sharing to be made possible for BF4
There's another reason why you should get Battlelog, the official companion app for Battlefield 4. DICE has recently announced that it will enable a new feature, the Facebook Sharing feature for the add-on.
"This is our first iteration of Facebook Sharing from Battlefield, and like always we appreciate your feedback. What kind of stories would you like to see in Battlefield 4?" said DICE in the Battlefield Blog.
The Facebook Sharing feature will enable you to automatically share any in-game progression with your friends. And your posts will be interactive, as anyone viewing your posts can be taken to the beta page, your Facebook profile, or the Open Beta.
This is just one of the features available for Battlelog. You can also get real-time notifications from any achievements your friends obtain, check on what your friends are playing, and monitor your performance on the stats board.
Fans enjoy Battlefield 4 beta
Already fans are sounding off on what they think of the Battlefield 4 beta, with many of the comments being positive ones that compliment DICE for a job well done despite the beta version.
"The beta looks pretty incredible, even though it's only just the beta. The graphics, amount of vehicles/weapons, map format... they all blew my mind," said M200_Terminator.
"Battlefield 4 is shaping up to be a masterpiece so far! Don't listen to these crazy whiners. The reality is DICE has improved Battlefield in just about EVERY category," said wWaAVve. "I played until my eyes [started] shutting around 5am for two nights in a row. And that's from a BETA!"
But of course, being a beta version, a lot more fans have encountered minor issues that can be fixed after the beta period, such as the new button layout.
"I don't like the new button layout for the vehicles nor the soldier controls. The old BF3 layout was much much better," said Burn1200.
