Disney has been on a nostalgia trip since the rerelease of "Lion King" in 3D. This week, they've announced that the 1991 classic was to be released in 3D and have released a teaser trailer of sorts.

Anyone who has ever seen the Disney version of the film is sure to have fallen in love with Belle and the prince who was cursed to become a Beast as well as their faithful coterie of castle creatures-the uptight Cogsworth, the debonair Lumiere, kindly Mrs. Potts and her adorable son, Chip.

This rendition of the timeless tale is a fabulous new look into the world of these characters, the likes of which fans have never seen before.

The classic film follows the tale of Belle, a peculiar beauty from a small town, who goes into a castle to save her father. Unbeknownst to her, the castle's master is a beast, cursed for his arrogance, and his whole retinue has been turned to household objects by association.

With unforgettable songs such as the poignant "Belle," the lively "Be Our Guest," the personal tribute to Belle's nightmare suitor "Gaston," and the emotionally charged theme song "Beauty and the Beast," the 3D release will surely capture the hearts of a whole new audience.

Since its original release, "Beauty and the Beast" has made over a hundred million dollars in collected revenue-from DVDs, toys, clothing, etc. The film also has TV spinoffs that focus on secondary characters and events that may have happened during Belle's stay in the enchanted castle.

Many fans will also recall that in a certain anniversary release, the song "Human Again" which was previously cut in the original was replaced in a later cut of the film. The 3D release will further solidify the film's status as 1 of the most celebrated animated movies of all time.
