‘Beauty & the Beast' Season 2 Spoilers: Catherine Kissing Another Man Plus Vincent Reveals He’s Still Alive [VIDEO]
After a midseason break, CW's "Beauty & the Beast" is back featuring Catherine kissing another man, and it's not Vincent. Kristin Kreuk who plays Catherine in the popular TV series is getting seriously close to Gabe played by Sendhill Ramamurthy.
Based on the recent episodes of the show, it is very clear that Gabe has strong feeling for Catherine and it seems that the feelings are mutual. In tonight's episode, Vincent decided to reveal himself in a talk show to tell the world that he is still alive.
On the other hand, Cat is busy with her job as she goes on an undercover case for FBI Agent Dana Landon played by guest star Elisabeth Röhm. But Vincent and Catherine will meet up in the middle of the show and forces them to work together.
Will this be the start of Catherine and Vincent living without each other? According to the show's runner Brad Kern, Cat and Vincent will grow as individuals.
"The design of this part of the season is for Cat and Vincent to grow as individuals. They came together so fast for kismet, epic reasons, but that's not a long-term relationship. You have to figure out who you are separately which is painful, but also comedic and adventurous,'' says Kern.
Kern also justifies that closeness between Gabe and Cat. "You got the perfect guy right there who's handsome, rich, working hard to make his amends, trying to be protective of her. It's hard for a woman who's been dealing with a beast who's made some really bad choices not to look over at the perfect guy that every mother would want their daughter to marry and give him a second look," reveals Kern.
"It would be inauthentic if we didn't play that. Does that mean that it's at the ultimate expense of Vin and Cat? Well the show is called Beauty and the Beast so we'll end up supporting that," added the actor.
Executive producer Jennifer Levin also agrees that it's time for Catherine to move on. Catherine getting close with Gabe is just right for her according to Levin.
"She's trying. If she's going to move forward in her life then she's going to explore other possibilities for sure. There's no bigger VinCat shipper than me, but I have been won over by Gabe a bit. So I'm not upset because it feels like she deserves it,'' says Levin.
The show will absolutely change now that Vincent revealed his true identity. Watch out for the next episode on Monday at 9 P.M. on the CW.
