Behind Nina Dobrev and Orlando Bloom's romance: From friends to something more
Nina Dobrev and Orlando Bloom have been making headlines over the past few days as the actors are reportedly now romantically linked. But while this may be true, the two are taking things slow by taking cues from their years-long friendship.
A source told People Magazine that Nina and Orlando are now romantically seeing one another. “They’ve known each other for a while,” the individual said. “Recently, they’ve been hanging out as more than friends. [But] it’s super casual.”
To clarify their point, the source went on to point out that while both actors were at the Coachella music festival over the weekend, neither one was publicly attached to the other. Orlando was apparently some 15 feet away from Nina as she partied with her friends and he was “all over” model Ashley Haas. The source then went on to say, however, that this was not a sign of disrespect to the actress. The situation was merely proof that the two are taking things slowly.
Another source pitched in to say that Nina and Orlando are “not exclusive.” Moreover, they stated that Orlando “doesn’t want a girlfriend and enjoys being single.”
But while these statements indicate that the two are taking their time to see where things could go, a reprehensive of the 28-year-old “The Vampire Diaries” star said that they are nothing more than friends. “They have the same representation and [have] friends in common and often end up in the same social group,” the statement said. “That’s all it is.” Us Weekly reported the same, as a source told the publication that the two are “just friends.”
Nina used to date her "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder. The two split in 2013 and Ian has since married Nikki Reed. The three appear to be in great communication with each other and even dine together once in a while. Nina was most recently linked to Austin Stowell.
On the other hand, Orlando split with singer Katy Perry just a few months ago. After over a year of dating, the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” star decided to hit pause on the relationship. Each reportedly realized that they were better of as friends rather than partners.
