Coming from a love triangle with two males and a female as the threesome sharing love, the popular Philippine soap opera My Husband's Lover brings gay love a level higher by hinting of an all-gay love triangle.

The hint of another aspect of same-sex relationships came last week when a new character, Martin, played by actor Rodjun Cruz, was introduced. Martin and Eric, played by Dennis Trillo, initially met as pick-up sex partners but nothing happened because Eric was still much in-love with high school best friend Vincent.

However, time heals broken hearts and Eric soon starts to move one with his love life when his mother intervenes and brings back Martin, a math teacher, to Eric's life.

In the Monday night episode, Eric and Martin agree to go on a date, hinting of a romantic future for the two.

Rodjun said he was surprised by the warm reception received by his character in the bekiserye. Another surprise for him was that he was asked by GMA-7, the producer of My Husband's Lover, was that he was called back again when the initial call was that his appearance would only be cameo.

However, it appears his character registered well with viewers, and the producers are now experimenting if he would be an interesting third party in the Eric-Vincent romance.

Vincent and Eric had parted ways after Vincent's wife, Lally, played by Carla Abellana, caught them in each other's arms in Eric's condo.

In the Monday night episode, Vincent appears wanting to get back with Eric by proposing a temporary separation with Lally, which could be a threat to the blooming love affair between Martin and Eric, and could further escalate into a three-gay love triangle.

Martin asks Eric for a dance and Eric accepts the offer.

And it could be bloody since a teaser for Tuesday's episode showed Vincent punching Martin in the face when he saw the math teacher dancing with his ex-lover.

Rodjun is not new to roles such as what he is portraying in the soap opera since he had played the love interest of actor Rocco Nacino in a gay indie film I Luv U, Pare Ko.

Another new face in the popular soap-opera, which has inspired a congressman to file a bill penalising same-sex adultery and named it My Husband's Love Bill, is actor Kempee de Leon who plays the role of Vincent's older gay cousin, Zandro, a cross-dresser.

Like Rodjun, Kempee has appeared also in gay roles in the past, the most noticeable is in Bahay Mo Ba To?
