Belkin, a leading player in technology solutions for IT infrastructure, schools, classrooms and mobile settings, introduced two new docking stands for ultrabooks and Windows 8 tablets. The company announced the release of the Dual Video Docking Stand for Ultrabooks and the Dual Video Docking Stand for Windows 8 tablets.

The docking stands help users become more productive because of the enhanced computing experience. It is also easier to work with laptops and other computing devices because of the stand. The stands feature a leverage DisplayLink® technology. This lets users turn their Windows 8 tablet or ultrabook into a desktop-like device.

There is also a single plug-and-display USB 3.0 cable with the stands.

The new docking stands from Belkin aim to provide users with more versatility especially when working with a variety of platforms. They cater to contractors, visiting professionals and people working in 'hot desk' environments.

USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Stands offer the following features:

  • Extra ports for multiple connectivity like mouse, printer, keyboard, network, etc.
  • Enhanced productivity as users can work with one or two external high resolution displays
  • Portably and fully functional workplace complete with built-in Ethernet

Other features include integrated cable management and USB ports.

"Laptop and tablet users often do without the advantages of external monitors, full-size keyboards and other desktop peripherals because of the hassle involved in connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting every device, every time they leave their desk or return to it," Timothy North, global product manager of Belkin Business, said.
