Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner divorce update: Ben 'blames himself for split'

A source says Ben Affleck is still finding it hard to cope with his divorce. The actor is reportedly struggling to sleep at night and even blames himself for the fallout of his 10-year marriage to Jennifer Garner.

It’s believed Affleck is not doing so well following his split from Garner. The “Batman” star has put on weight and is struggling to cope with the change in his life in the wake of the divorce, according to the Belfast Telegraph. Likewise, a source has reportedly told the British newspaper Grazia that Affleck “blames himself for the split.”

"It was always really important to provide his children with the kind of family life he didn't have growing up, and he seems distraught that things haven't worked out. Things appear rather tense between him and Jen, to say the least,” the source said in the Belfast Telegraph report.

Affleck, who is rumoured to have cheated on Garner with his children’s ex-nanny Christine Ouzounian, is reportedly trying to win his wife back. He has been spotted on several occasions still wearing his wedding ring. He also recently celebrated his 43rd birthday with Jennifer and their children, but according to OK!, they acted like “awkward strangers” around each other.

Meanwhile, Ouzounian, the rumoured third party in the couple’s marriage, has reportedly been enjoying the media attention she’s getting following the divorce. It’s believed she’s using the paparazzi coverage as an advantage to advance her career.

A source told News.com.au that the 28-year-old is looking for an agent to help her land a TV deal on something like “The Bachelorette” or “Dancing With The Stars.” Ouzunian is reportedly using the “spotlight to build a showbiz career” considering that she most likely cannot return to being a nanny. The source claimed Ouzunian is also considering going on a tell-all show to talk about Affleck, but not about his private family life.

The ex-nanny has also been living a lavish lifestyle amidst the cheating speculations, according to Perez Hilton. She recently stayed at the expensive Hotel Bel-Air for a week and also purchased a brand new Lexus. Affleck has reportedly been funding Christine’s lavish lifestyle, although sources close to the Hollywood actor say otherwise.
