Ben Stiller has started a new fund-raising campaign for shcools in Haiti. The award-winning American actor has joined forces with internet giant Yahoo! in a bid to raise $50,000 for the construction of a temporary school in the country devastated by an earthquake.

Stiller smiled for the cameras during the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France and convinced Yahoo! chiefs to give $1 for every hit the photo gets online, up to $50,000. The photo van be accessed via his Twitter account, RedHourBen.

"Thanks for all the RTs - literally going to build a school with this. Well not literally but you know what I mean," Stiller tweeted on Tuesday, June 22.

In the photo, the actor is joined by Elisa Steele and Jeff Goodby who all wore yellow headbands.

Other stars who have previously helped Haiti include Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt (donated $1 million), Olivia Wilde, Haitian Wyclef Jean (started the Yele Haiti foundation) and Mario Bello.
