British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is quirky and intelligent and that is probably why he plays the role of Sherlock of BBC's Sherlock with so much of ease.

On Saturday, the actor came out of his trailer and displayed a hand written message to the waiting paparazzi outside the set of BBC Sherlock 3, "Go photograph Egypt and show the world something important."

The actor was shooting for Sherlock in Cardiff, Wales. Buzzfeed reports that Cumberbatch was wearing a hooded jacket, which almost covered his face. The waiting photographers outside the set of Sherlock only got to see the message. This is one advice that paparazzi are likely to ignore as images of Egypt will not make the fans of Sherlock, their target audience, squeal in happiness. The actor, however, could do his bit by giving a message to his Egyptian fans that may cheer them up.

Sherlock is all set to return for its third season before the end of this year. The media is buzzing with news that Sherlock 3 premiere episode 'Empty Hearse' is scheduled to air on October 30, 2013. Cumberbatch is pleased with the shooting of the new season.

"[Sherlock Series three] is great," Cumberbatch said to Entertainment Weekly. "The second series was weird - because it was such a phenomenal success, we were a bit distanced from the routine and the inhabiting of those characters. This season, straight into it, comfortable. And [the characters all] immediately fit under our skins."

""[It's] really hard work because it wouldn't be a good show unless we were trying to evolve it and set ourselves new challenges and standards," Cumberbatch said. "But I love it. I'm very fond of playing [Sherlock].

"You're in for a treat this series."

Cumberbatch is also awaiting the release of his Hollywood movie, 'The Fifth Estate', which is slated to release on October 11, 2013. He is playing the role of Julian Assange.

The Fifth Estate's story begins as "WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Daniel Brühl) team up to become underground watchdogs of the privileged and powerful," according to the synopsis of the movie posted by Dream Works.

"On a shoestring, they create a platform that allows whistleblowers to anonymously leak covert data, shining a light on the dark recesses of government secrets and corporate crimes. Soon, they are breaking more hard news than the world's most legendary media organizations combined."

DreamWorks released the new poster of 'Fifth Estate'. The poster features Cumberbatch as Assange, Brühl as Domscheit-Berg and the words "You can't expose the world's secret without exposing your own"
