Best 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 moments to be remembered well after winter is gone
“Game of Thrones” has kept us riveted to our seats season after season. If that is not good enough, it has also made us wonder and let our imaginations run wild on the possibility of what’s coming next. The ardent fan has kept revisiting those shocking, violent and breathtaking moments again and again. There is magic, there is love, there is treachery and there are deaths to mourn. Hence, it will be a good idea to revisit the best “Game of Thrones” Season 5 moments before we once again refuse to leave our seats when “Game of Thrones” Season 6 hits the screens.
The Battle of Hardhome

Interestingly, the best moment of “Game of Thrones” Season 5 was the entire Episode 8. The intense action, the stunning visuals, the epic scale, quality dialogues and intriguing side plots made it memorable. However, it was in the Battle of Hardhome that the world came to know the wrath of the white walkers. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) had a real hard time. Season 6 will perhaps see more of the white walkers.

Drogon unleashed its fury on the Sons of the Harpy at the Meereenese fighting pit when its mother, the Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke), was surrounded by enemies and there was no escape in sight. “Game of Thrones” Season 6 will perhaps see more of Khaleesi’s dragons char enemies to ashes.
Stabbing of Jon Snow
It’s undoubtedly the most pivotal moment of Season 5. He has suffered a lot but kept his cool. Whatever he has done, he did it for the greater good. When he was stabbed mercilessly by his supposed “brotherhood,” however, all hell broke loose. [Spoiler Alert!] He is probably returning in Season 6. He was spotted along with the other cast members in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in November, the official Twitter account of “Game of Thrones” shared a poster of Jon Snow with just “April HBO” written on it. It had the hashtags #GOTSeason6 and #GameOfThrones.

Cersei’s “walk of shame”

The incredible downfall of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) from “Queen Regent” to the naked “walk of shame” was hard to watch but will be remembered for quite some time. The Faith Militant held Cersei captive along with Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and she even licked the floors to wet her lips. However, this “walk” was too much to handle.
Arya Stark killing Ser Meryn Trant
The “revenge is sweet” saying was proved 100 per cent when Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), daughter of Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) killed Ser Meryn Trant (Ian Beattie) in a brothel in Braavos. The scene where the little girl removes her face mask, revealing her to be Arya and then the persistent blurting out of hatred, was a scene to behold.

Stannis Baratheon sacrifices daughter Shireen
Stannis Baratheon’s (Stephen Dillane) quest to conquer the “Iron Throne” led him to madness. He sacrificed his daughter Shireen (Kerry Ingram) to the “Lord of Light” at the insistence of Melisandre (Carice van Houten). The scene confirms the fact that nothing is impossible in “Game of Thrones.” Watch the scene here.
These moments were undoubtedly the best moments of Season 5. They will be remembered for a long time.
