AMC's mega-hit drama "Breaking Bad" sequel "Better Call Saul" is not starting yet but the highly-anticipated spinoff is already signed for season 2 after the season 1 premiere was revealed. The show's upcoming season is scheduled to premiere on early 2015 and will feature 10 episodes, while season 2 will premiere sometime in 2014 with 13 episodes.

Previously announced to premiere on November 2014, "Better Call Saul" will follow the story of Saul Goodman who gave the drama hit series "Breaking Bad" a comic relief. Bob Odenkirk will reprise his seedy lawyer role as Saul Goodman, with showrunner Vince Gilligan directing the series premiere. Gilligan will co-run the show with co-creator Peter Gould (who wrote the episode that introduced Saul), according to HitFix.

"Production on Better Call Saul is underway and we could not be more proud of nor more excited about the work to date," AMC President Charles Collier said in a statement posted on Time. "We join the fans in eager anticipation for this series and today we happily confirm that our initial Saul order is for two seasons and a total of 23 episodes."

Jonathan Banks will also reprise his role as Goodman's private investigator Mike Ehrmantraut, including previously announced cast including Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando and veteran comic actor Michael McKean as Dr. Thurber. Collier revealed that the filming of the show's season 1 is currently underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"We are enjoying the process on Saul and all share a focus on making it a true television event, no half measures," he said dropping in a Walter White reference.

Early this year, Gilligan talked about the direction of his new series and how different it would feel from "Breaking Bad" although there will be some episodes that will overlap with Walter White's story. "It will be Saul Goodman's world, it won't be Walter White's, and it will have a different feel," he said.

He also hopes to secure some cameos from Bryan Cranston who played the famous Mr. Heisenberg and Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. An official photo has been released indicating that the show is currently filmed in Mexico.
