The rumour has it that United States President Barack Obama and pop diva Beyonce Knowles Carter are having an affair. The rumour was started by French media and has taken the social media by storm. Though the truth is yet to be confirmed or denied, some people have already coined a term for the two and it's called "Beyobama" and hashtag #beyonceobama is already generating good search volumes.

Here is a little background to how the whole thing started. French photographer Pascal Rostain who discovered that President Francois Hollande was having an affair is now behind United States President Obama and says he is cheating on his wife Michelle Obama, Daily Mail is reporting. "I can assure you that the world will talk about the Obama-Beyoncé affair," Rostain told France's Le Figaro newspaper adding that U.S. media will reportedly come out with a story on the alleged affair soon.

However Washington Post has denied the claims. "I can tell you that it's false. The Washington Post does not produce articles," Kristine Coratti, director of communications for the newspaper told The Daily Mail.

However Twitterati is having fun with the whole idea of Obama getting hooked to Beyonce since there are also recent reports that things are not going so rosy between Obama and first lady Michelle.

There are some people who are quite perturbed at the whole story and feel Beyonce should not do this since the Obamas are great fan of her music.
