'Beyonce Not Pregnant,' Former Destiny's Child's Bandmate Michelle Williams Clarifies
Rumours of a pregnant Beyonce continue to swirl this week. While the singer and her husband Jay-Z have kept mum regarding the issue, Beyonce herself spurred the pregnancy reports during a basketball date with her husband. Her friend and once co-band member Michelle Williams, however, have spoken up against these reports already.
If Beyonce and Jay-Z are doing their best to ignore the pregnancy rumours around them, Williams, her close friend and former Destiny's Child bandmate took the initiative to clarify these rumors for the power duo. During her appearance on "The View" on Monday, Williams invalidated these pregnancy rumors and went out to explain what the "baby bump" in the picture could actually be.
"You know, when she was pregnant, people said she wasn't pregnant, and you know, it's just no truth to it, sorry!" the singer said. "First of all, if you look at the picture, the baby bump is probably where her knees probably really are... Just stop it," she added.
But Williams' clarifications could not stop the rumours. Beyonce herself further fuelled these rumours by keeping her tummy under wraps on Monday as she and her husband caught a basketball game in New York, Hello magazine reports. Moreover, as the 33-year-old singer enjoyed her date night with Jay-Z, she was photographed with her hands covering her stomach, keeping her tummy hidden from view. The photos intensify the idea that Beyonce is hiding a baby bump. A baby bump was said to be quite obvious with a picture she posted on her Instagram on Sunday, showing her buried in sand on the beach. Her 23.6 million followers immediately even started to speculate if this was the her method of announcing her pregnancy.
Instead of merely speculating, In Touch Weekly came up with a report saying Beyonce is already carrying a baby boy. The source of the said publication said Jay-Z is happy with the news because he wanted a baby boy for so long and could not wait to play hoops with him. The couple's camp, however, remains steadfastly silent on all these pregnancy allegations.
