Pop superstar Beyoncé Knowles did not only mark her 35th birthday with her family and close friends such as the Obamas. She made the September 4th celebration a global one when she released the music video of her song “Hold Up” on YouTube as gift to her fans worldwide.

Beyoncé’s “Hold Up” video has been viewed 1.3 million times less than a day since it went online on video-sharing website YouTube.

“Hold Up” is part of Beyoncé’s sixth album “Lemonade,” which was released on April 23, 2016. The 13-track audio-video album was inspired allegedly by her husband Jay Z’s supposed extramarital affairs.

The music video of “Hold Up” was initially available for online streaming service Tidal, which Beyoncé co-owns. “Hold Up” won for Beyoncé the Best Female Video award during the 2016 MTV Video Music Award. It was also cited for Best Art Direction.

Also part of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” album, “Lemonade” won the Breakthrough Long Form Video award while “Formation” won the Video of the Year award and Best Pop Video. Beyoncé’s “Freedom” video featuring Kendrick Lamar was also cited for Best Collaboration Video.

Beyoncé’s music videos were cited for art direction, editing, choreography and cinematography.

Before her birthday, Beyonce was spotted strolling around New York City with daughter Blue Ivy while she walks her new puppy.
