A documentary featuring the life of Beyonce will have its premieres on HBO Saturday, showing a different side of the R&B singer. Titled “Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream,” the specials pictures Beyonce not the usual “guarded person” in control of everything to avoid missteps before the public eye.

In the 90-minute documentary, Beyonce opens up about the many milestones in her 15 years in the entertainment industry and her struggles as an individual before making a name for herself in Hollywood.

The focus of discussion in the film included her decision to sever ties with her father, who had served as her manager for years. She described this event in life as “painful,” said USA Today.

It also talked about her first miscarriage and the deep love she has had for husband Jay-Z. A special emphasis is given on the joy of motherhood, something she said she has been fortunate to experience in life since Blue Ivy came to her life and husband, Jay-Z.

The singer offered a very different dimension of self in the documentary that will be aired on HBO Saturday. She allowed the specials to talk her into opening up and letting her hair down that in the end allowed her millions of fans and critics alike to see some of her vulnerabilities.

People are taking pictures of you and exploiting your personal life as entertainment," she said, according to USA Today.

She added, "When Nina Simone put out a record, you fell in love with her voice. … But you didn't get brainwashed by her day-to-day life, and what her child was wearing and who she is dating. All things that are really not your business. It shouldn't influence the way you listen to the voice and the art, but it does."

“Beyonce: Life is But a Dream” allows you to take a “look at the life and music of singer Beyonce Knowles. Scheduled to be released on February 16, the film has been receiving initial rave reviews from critics and friends, including media mogul, Oprah. It is a production by the ICM Partners, Parkwood and Entertainment.
