Beyonce has opened up the details of her newly released self-titled album in the social media interview during the release party of the album.

The "If I Were A Boy" singer attended the party of the album Saturday at the School of Visual Arts Theater in New York City that also served as the directors' screening for the videos of all 17 tracks of the album. She appeared at the venue wearing a black mosaic print mini-dress and thigh-high peep-toe boots to match.

After the guests viewed the videos, Queen Bey went up on stage to answer the questions via Instagram, mainly about how the entire album came.

She talked about her thoughts minutes before the album's surprise release.

"I was terrified. I was so scared. I already envisioned like the worst things that could happen. I was really nervous because this was a huge risk," she said.

"We went through a lot of things to keep it secret, to keep the surprise," she added.

"I really, really wanted to surprise people, and for them really just to hear the art and not be about the hype and the promotion. And we actually did it," she noted.

Critics and fans alike noticed how much she has opened up her personal life in this album, and even went out to include her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy as collaborators. Beyonce said it has something to do with motherhood.

"I'm very private and I'm very respectful, and I think it just took me no longer being someone's child - once I became a mother, I felt like I could tear those fourth walls and I just felt like it was time," she said. "I completely feel liberated."

Beyonce also revealed she plans to follow Madonna's footsteps as a "powerhouse" and show other women that when they get to a certain point of their career, "you don't have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success, you can do it yourself."

About one of the album's tracks Yonce, Beyonce related that the nickname came from singer-producer The-Dream and he came up with it one time while Justin Timberlake was in the studio making beats using a bucket.
