'The Big Bang Theory' Actor Sells His Show to CBS, Stuart Weirds Out Howard In Season 8
Stuart of "The Big Bang Theory" may not have much to talk about when it comes to scoring successes, but the actor portraying him, Kevin Sussman, has plenty of acting and creative successes to talk about. The latest news is that he has successfully sold his multi-camera comedy to CBS.
Sussman has written the comedy, which is called "Wife Of Crime." Also, he is the co-executive producer on the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), this comedy is about a "straitlaced guy from Staten Island who marries into an Italian family with ties to the mob and finds himself drawn to the warmth of his new crime family." Neil Moritz and Vivian Cannon are on board as executive producers through their Original Film banner's overall deal with the studio, THR has reported.
In the CBS's hugely popular comedy "The Big Bang Theory," Sussman was promoted as a series regular at the beginning of Season 6. In Season 7 finale, his character's comic store burned down and he became the care taker of Howard's mother. The premiere episode of the new season will see Stuart becoming a headache for Howard.
When he moved into Mrs Wolowitz's house as her caretaker, he and Howard's mother hit it off real well. According to spoilers of the upcoming season, Mrs Wolowitz does not need a caretaker anymore, but Stuart seems to have no intention to move out, as he has nowhere to go. The spoilers indicate that Stuart will start acting like Howard's father, which will drive the latter crazy. According to the synopsis of the episode, "Howard is weirded out by Stuart's relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz."
Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory" will not be without its comic-store, according to the writers of the show. However, it has not been revealed when the new comic-store will open.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014. The first episode of the new season is titled "The Locomotion Interruption" and the second episode is called "The Junior Professor Solution."
