Leonard is back from the North-Sea. The complete gang is back, together and dinning at Penny's restaurant. The fun rolls on. "The Big Bang Theory" Season 7 Episode 3, 'The Scavenger Hunt' opens with Raj (Kunal Nayyar) complaining -- almost screaming to make his point -- that no one turned-up for his murder mystery dinner party.

"So, if you all want to solve the mystery of who stabbed Koothrappali in the back with the weapon of indifference, it was all of you," Raj says and gets the hint that no one is interested in his parties. The expressive faces of the rest suggest that they are happy that he has dropped the idea of the murder mystery parties. However, Raj soon dampens the cheerful spirit of the team when he says that he has something better planned, a scavenger hunt. Amy (Mayim Bialik), Howard and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) share their Universities' scavenger hunt experience. Howard (Simon Helberg) makes fun of Leonard's Princeton background. Penny (Kelly Cuoco) joins and chips in that she and her friends had scavenger hunt all the time. Leonard tells her that the scavenger hunt of theirs is different as it includes puzzles made of logic, astronomy and science. Penny sighs that her scavenger hunt was related to beer hunting.

Everyone is excited, except Sheldon with the idea of playing the scavenger hunt. But, he packs his backpack to be well-prepared and win the scavenger hunt. Sheldon also packs a house ball in case the hunt leads them to the bowling alley and he does not like using the filthy balls.

Raj has designed the scavenger hunt: "Somewhere in the city of Pasadena, I've hidden a golden coin. You all will be faced with a total of ten puzzles. Each puzzle will lead you to the location of the next. The last of it will lead you to the coin. The first team that finds it, Wins"

Sheldon calls Raj a showman. When the question of picking the partner arises, Leonard wants to mix things-up. Penny believes Leonard said that because he thinks she will be a "liability" and is proud that she used the word "liability" correctly in a sentence. "I chose Sheldon and we're going to kick your a**," Penny announces. However, no one shows any enthusiasm to team-up with her and they go for the pull the slip from the hat.

Penny gets Sheldon as her partner. He isn't happy about that and is pouting though Penny turns out to be much smarter and quick in solving the puzzles and riddles. Leonard and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) team-up. Soon, Leonard finds out that she is a highly competitive person and is the bossy and the screaming kind. At one point, Bernadette also makes him believe that Penny called him "ninny" so that he does not quit the game to make-up with Penny.

Howard and Amy are one team and they find that they both love Neil Diamond, and start singing his songs at the drop of a hat. They are the only ones enjoying as partners. Amy tells Howards that Penny warned her not to get into the car with him, alone.

The first puzzle is a puzzle which leads to the comic store. Stuart (Kevin Sussman) sarcastically complains to Raj that no one invites him over to such games and that he has was not invited to the murder mystery party, also. A riddle is waiting for them at the comic store, which leads them to the geological lab, and then it leads to the bowling alley. The lift hole of theirs apartment also has a clue, which brings the players to the laundry room. Sheldon's t-shirts have the clue to where Raj has hidden the gold coin. The big, final clue is the spot on his shirts. Penny, Bernadette Leonard and Sheldon figure-out that it is Sheldon's spot on the couch. Sheldon stays back to soak his t-shirts, while Bernadette, Penny and Leonard rush to find the gold coin and win. But, it is not there.

Raj appears and tells them that the coin is in their pockets and that everyone is a winner. He says that he is also a winner as he also has the coin. Bernadette, Penny and Leonard are mad at him. Penny tells him "you ...suck" and asks him to "run, run to India" when he says "I didn't know who would get Penny." Sheldon comes and shows them the coin, telling he won.

Amy and Howards are having the best time of their life, singing Neil Diamond's songs and planning to go to his concert. Their common love for Neil Diamond make them take a detour from the original game, and they do not complete the scavanger hunt game.
