"The Big Bang Theory" Season 7 Episode 4, "The Raiders Minimization," RECAP: On their date night, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are watching the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" because it is one of the favourite movies of Sheldon. It is Sheldon's version of making Amy lose her virginity or make her world rock on his couch.

Sheldon is acting like one overly-pleased, excited kid and wants to know what Amy thinks about his favourite movie. Amy calls it "good" and does not share his enthusiasm for the movie. Sheldon wants her to express more. Amy finds a "glaring" problem with the story, which is not what Sheldon was expecting her to say as the movie is the love-child of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

Amy tells him that Indiana Jones, the man with the hat and the whip in the movie, has no role to play in the movie that Sheldon has watched 36 times. If Indiana Jones was not there, the movie would have turned out exactly the same. Amy points out that Nazis would have ultimately died in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," with or without Indiana Jones presence in the movie. Amy has a solid point, which spoils the movie for Sheldon and his jaw drops.

It is not expected of Sheldon to sit quietly after someone's spoils his favourite thing. He is on the revenge track and starts reading Amy's favourite book "Pride and Prejudice" to find a major flaw in it, but concludes that the book is a masterpiece as the woman is full of pride and the man is full of prejudice. Sheldon, however, spoils the movie for Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) by telling them what Amy said to him about Indiana Jones.

Sheldon finds a bunch of flaws in "Little House on the Prairie" and in an unscheduled video chat, he invites Amy over to his place to watch her favourite childhood show with him. Sheldon starts commenting on each flaw, including the use of phone, peanut butter and more, to rattle Amy. It does not take Amy long to see through his revenge plan. She tells Sheldon to state it that he is mad at her for spoiling his favourite movie and not do something for revenge as they are in a relationship. Sheldon agrees and does not comment further on the show, but he still has the last word when he tells her that her favourite cartoon character Garfield has no reason to complain about Mondays as he does not go to work.

Penny (Kaley Cuoco) comes back from school with a copy of "The Disappointing Child," written by Leonard's mother Beverly (Christine Baranski), which is on her recommended, psychology reading list. Leonard does not find it amusing as the book contains "horrible" stories from his childhood, including chapters on potty training, bed-wetting and masturbation. When Leonard realises that he can make Penny do anything for him, including sex at work, by pretending to be sad because of the book, he uses it to his advantage. Penny also decides to not go to the football game with him, thinking Leonard is sad because of the book.

Leonard reveals to Howard how he is making Penny do anything for him. Howard tries to use the same formula at his home with Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). But, it does not work for him. Howard tells Bernadette about Leonard using the mother-sob-story on Penny to make her do anything for him and he was trying to use the same strategy to get into the shower with her.

Bernadette tells Penny about that. At her place, Penny welcomes Leonard, dressed in a revealing night dress and Leonard gets all sad (pretending) and happy, and is gleefully all set to drop his pants. But, Penny is not alone in the room. Leonard's mother is there, too via Skype. Leonard's mother reprimands him for using her for his sex-life with Penny, and reminds him about the time when he walked in as a kid when she and her father were having sex. Leonard had thought he saw all that in his dream.

Raj and Stuart (Kevin Sussman) have decided to put their profile on a dating site. In the profile, Stuart puts the word "unobjectionable" to describe himself in one word, while Raj puts "parents' money" as his favourite feature. They track the number of visitors on their profile and get excited to see that ladies are coming to them. However, none of the visitors contact them. Raj and Stuart feel that it is better to contact the girls in the offline world than online, but when one of the girls say "not interested" on Raj's face, they decide to go back online.

At the end of the episode, Raj, Sheldon, Leonard and Howard sit to watch "Raiders of the Lost Ark" but are unable to find any fault with Amy's view that the movie has a glaring flaw.
