'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers: Sheldon, Leonard face more changes

“The Big Bang Theory” season 10 is highly anticipated by its fans especially so when the show ended with a cliffhanger in season 9. There have been many fan theories on how “The Big Bang Theory” is leading its upcoming season but the best spoilers come from executive producer Steven Molaro himself.

Molaro recently revealed to fans that “The Big Bang Theory” season 10 premiere will pick up right where it left off. This means viewers will finally know if Leonard’s father Alfred (Judd Hirsch) actually slept with Sheldon’s mother Mary (Laurie Metcalf).

On the last episode of “The Big Bang Theory” season 9, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) renewed their vows in an intimate dinner attended by their friends and family. While Beverly Hofstadter (Christine Baranski) hated seeing her ex-husband Alfred, Mary on the other hand found a potential romance partner in Leonard’s charming father. On what happens or happened between Mary and Alfred is definitely going to affect Sheldon and Leonard. There were frenzied rumours speculating the possibility of Sheldon ( Jim Parsons) and Leonard becoming brothers. While Molaro did not confirm anything about this, he did acknowledge that Sheldon and Leonard are in for some unexpected events.

“I’m going to go with the word “uncomfortable,” probably is a good starting place for their primary emotion of where we leave them and where we will pick up. ” Molaro described to EW the probable first episode in “The Big Bang Theory” season 10.

The show should definitely start where the story left off given that whatever happened to Mary and Alfred could create big changes in Sheldon and Leonard’s relationship.

Meanwhile, another spoiler for the sitcom’s upcoming season is Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) upcoming baby. Molaro confirmed to fans that Bernadette’s pregnancy will continue this season 10.

“We’ll continue to look for new takes on (baby planning) and the kind of stories that hopefully we haven’t seen many times on TV,” Molaro told EW.

It’s definitely good news contrary to rumours that the couple will lose their baby. Rauch also shared to fans how excited she is to act pregnant and become a mother during the San Diego Comic Convention. On whether the baby will come out this season or not is yet to be known.

Speaking of mothers, another “The Big Bang Theory” season 10 spoiler is about Penny’s mother confirmed to make an appearance on the show.

Molaro spilled to fans that they will finally meet more of Penny’s family. It’s been recently confirmed that “Sons of Anarchy” actress Katey Sagal will play as Penny’s mother, and “30 Rock” star Jack McBrayer will play as Penny’s brother.

Fans can expect “The Big Bang Theory” season 10 to delve deeper in the characters’ lives as most of the gang’s individual families are being introduced in the show. Given the many highly-anticipated events, Molaro also answered the rumour purporting the upcoming season is going to be the last run of the sitcom.

“Even if that were the case, that’s still 24 episodes away,” Molaro said on the possibility of season 10 as the final run for “The Big Bang Theory.” “So no, I’m not looking at it as the end.”

“The Big Bang Theory ” season 10 premieres 8 p.m. on Sep. 19 on CBC channel in the US. The show airs on Nine Network in Australia but the upcoming season’s airing date is yet to be announced.
